"Righteousness is not that you turn your faces toward the east or the west, but true righteousness is on one who believes in Allah, the Last Day, the angels, the Book, and the prophets and gives wealth, in spite of love for it, to relatives, orphans, the needy, the traveler, those who ask (for help); for freeing slaves, and who estalblishes prayer and give zakáh, those who fulfill their promises when they promise; and those who are patient in proverty and hardhips and during battle. Those are the one who have been true and it is who are the righteous"

From our experience, we know any article or a story book or any book is worth reading if it begins with an interesting awakening. Well, just look at how Allah Taála begins this ayah.

en-“Righteousness is not that you turn your faces toward the east or the west…”
bm- “Kebajikkan itu bukanlah menghadapkan wajahmu ke timur atau ke barat..”

mm.. have we ever wonded why Allah SwTaála put this at the beginning..?

a think to ponder upon..

often in our school, when we are taught about islam , most of the time, we were continually remind about the 5 rukun islam..
[vowing the syahadah, establish the 5 prayers a day, fasting in the month of ramadhan, give zakah when one are capable of giving and doing hajj- later when we are old..]

In addition to it, we are also remind to do good things, such as helping other around us..so on

Yet, it is not how many/much deeds were are capable of cumulating, but is it really the sincerity in doing every one of it.. sincerely because of Him, The All Mighty.. Allah Taála..

If not, it will be like how Allah Taála stated in Al-Furqan:23,
And We shall turn to whatever deeds they did (in this life), and We shall make such deeds as floating dust scattered about.”

but we know, the book given to us, Al-Quran, will always valid throughout our lifetime till the end of time.. so there must be a deeper meaning Allah Taála ask us to look and ponder upon.

everything that has been going in our life.. the life at school, the life at work..at home..

may seem different, we’ll say it depends on what circumstances we’re in..
yet, all will be referred to as ‘deed’, despite where we are and who are we dealing with..

as long as each of it is done because of Him only..

so, if one think its has more righteous than others..
then, think again..

Allah stated here, it doesnt matter who we are among the human eyes, our position among the society.. we may look as if we're more superior compare to others..

think, and think again..

"..the most honorable among you is the most righteous..." [49:13]

and the most righteous is as what Allah SwTaála stated in al-baqarah:177

"..who believes in Allah, the Last Day, the angels, the Book, and the prophets and gives wealth, in spite of love for it, to relatives, orphans, the needy, the traveler, those who ask (for help); for freeing slaves, and who estalblishes prayer and give zakáh, those who fulfill their promises when they promise; and those who are patient in proverty and hardhips and during battle. Those are the one who have been true and it is who are the righteous.."

which i guess means takes islam as the truly way of life..
no matter when, no matter where..it should always stay the same..
