Dalam kesibukkan menghadapi peperiksaan akhir semester..pasti skali akan ada discussion dengan coursemates.. (yg mostly 95% opposite gender)..
Yup..and to tell the truth..evertime the discussion is being carried out, one of them would surely bring new issues about islam..without fail.. Just to confirm, all my discussion groupmates are non-muslim..
I know, im not the best person to talk about islam..yet, Allah knows best. I guess it sort of a test for me, whether im ready to discuss, and share the best of islam..and try to make them understand bout it.. i dont have the courage to give reminders (tazkirah) to those around me, yet i know..He gave me a responsibility somewhere to tell the world the truth about islam..
And an atheist friend of mine, has been sort of provoking me since the beginning of this year..and alhamdulillah..he really showed a great interest in islam..
Yesterday,
some of his talking were...:
' O Allah..forgive me for making that guy misses his bus to get home'
'i dont know why i'm even here. But i know there's for a reason why Allah put me here'
'Are you going praying? I want to pray to.'
'...u need to convince me about Allah.'
and
though my Quran translation is not in english.. yet he like to open my quran and read the BM translation and then ask me to translate it in english ( i need to give him an english one)..
and much more..
Though i was surprised about his wordings and action, yet inside, i've was grateful to Allah.. yes, he's still an atheist, yet he's really starting to show a great interest in islam..and even a female friend of mine.. (there's less than 10 females in my coursemates) who attend the discussion y'day said to me..
'u know, i think he's really interested in islam..'
hm...last night.. another group of my coursemates suddenly decides to join in the discussion.. and the discussion we're having are not bout the exam today at 2pm..but on the islamic law of islam..
They first make a story to a muslim guy about me liking him. And of course i denied the lies. Yet, they said..look, she's lying...she wont even look into your eyes..
And to my surprise and relieve, the muslim guy answered..
'Its actually a sin in islam for opposite gender to look into each other eyes..it could cause an attraction which would be sinful..(and more explanation)'..
And then..i guess they dont know what to say, the shifted the focus on that muslim guy and said..
' i always saw u studying with different girl each day..they r not even our course mates..whor r they?'
and the reply given was
' hey, we need to socialize..make branch of mates..'
i guess, i was being too emotional by his answer.. i quickly pointed out.. "that is not what being taught in islam.. it is his own law.. so never take his answer as a generalize perception on islam.. its being written clearly in the quran, about how these things.. and those who choose not to abide by it, have been promised to be punish in hell-fire"
that causes some silence for a while..
and then this continues on and on... and then goes into other stuff bout clubbing, drinking..to bahasa baku.. and thats when i decided, its time to go back home.. and when i said im going home, thats when they all start focusing doing the past years papers again and stop me from going back with all sort of exams, academic ques..
there's actually more on what happened..but i guess.. time is not mine to use it without thinking.. got to continue to revise back at this final hour..
'O Allah..give me strength in this journey of mine in this world... Whatever happens, i take its a preparation for me for the future things to come.. Grant us your guidance always..'
