yes, now being in a work life can't make me stop thinking bout work.. something to be like a workaholic..
yeah, its not good..
and yesterday, while i was interacting with a far away sis.. and talking or rather messaging, we come across both of our work life..
at the same time, my hand was browsing thru one of my favorite surah in the quran.. it seems that each moment i was entering at that time somehow stopped at the 'right ayah'..
For instance, when a few of my colleagues in the OZ were ranting about the great time they were having for meeting this famous singer from our home country,
my eyes fall upon the ayah that translation goes something as..
"And when Allah is mentioned alone, the hearts of those who do not believe in the Hereafter shrink with aversion,but when those (worshiped) other than Him are mentioned, immediately they rejoice.."(45)
it strike me as, wow.. its certainly true..
often when we are about to hear a tazkirah/reminder, we only hear it with 1 ear.. but when a famous, favorite artists, idols we immediately gave our full attention to it and even willing to lose a lot of money just to attend its special 'ceremony'..
ok, so a few minutes pass and i was 'buzzed' by a close friend in ym..
and after updating on our life.. we move on to talk about 'work'..
being in different situation,condition, what we defined as work will differ from one to another..
but then, this ayah which came close to encounter me make me think bout it twice..
'Say, "O my people, work according to your position, (for) indeed, I am working; and you are going to know"..' (39)
Yeah, so accept your work as it is.. we should not complain..which i need to keep this in mind..
"And it was already revealed to you and to those before you that is you should associate (anything) with Allah, you work will surely become worthless, and you would surely be among the losers"(65)
If the right intention was put forth at the start, one will not feel distrupted doing the work..
we learned then, no matter where we were, what 'work' we're facing..it all come down to 1 same thing..
- Do it because of Him, the All Mighty.. -
Not because people ask us to do.. not because the pay that we'll get on getting it done.. as it will all be worthless in the end, if it were not done because of Him..
"..O My servants who have transgressed against themselves, do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful.." (53)
