what is faith.. iman

iman.. one thing that is important..
how to achieve 'iman'... what is iman..?
_________________________
There are what we called it as criteria need to be fulfilled in order to achieve the greatest 'iman of all..

1) the worshipers: total penghambaan hanya kepada Allah
which means.. no other thing should be a source of motivator for we to do things..to say.. and to portray.. its looks simple, obvious to most of us, yet do know that most of us tend to overlook it..
The smallest action that we do even need to have the base of Allah from it..hmm.. even such as brushing our teeth.. when a person (^_^) keep nagging u to brush ur teeth, wouldn't u just do it because u cant bear her nags..? or did u do it because the teeth are being loan to us from Allah.. we should take the best care of it..

2) Amar ma'ruf Nahi Mungkar (AMNM) those who enjoin what is right and forbids what is worng

a reminder that we often heard, even when we're still back in school.. it kept pounding into our academic islamic sections back in school days...isnt it? where we learned that as a muslims we need to AMNM.. but to think back again, to what extend have we done it? in my case, if it can be measured by a measuring tape with the length to the size of the earth diameter, i don't think i even achieve 1mm of it.. huhu.. need to move more, be more proactive here!
In order to carry out this AMNM, verily, with only doing both actions simultaneously, only one can gain the 'iman they aimed to achieve.. 'Simultaneously' an important word here.. why is that? must be wondering, why cant we just do one and leave the other behind.. well, to simplify it, let just say it comes in a package as this Din'. Why can't we take only a part of this Din, and leave out the other? the same goes with AMNM.. we can't just take one and leave the other behind.
Its simply NO USE to just amar ma'ruf (inviting others to do good deeds), yet when mungkar is obviously being played in front of these eyes, we kept it quiet to ourself.. no 'nahi mungkar' here being done.. this is actually why the downfall of the children of israel back in those era..

3)bow and prostrate only to Him:
the solat i.e. prayer.. out of all amal being categorized under ibadah, the solat has been given a place at the front row.. the lead of the army.. its certainly good to varies our good deed each day we live in, yet, need to ensure our solat is being taken care of with the best care one could give..
and this 'aspect' also seems like saying do not follow the rule that against the guidelines Allah sent down upon us, humans.. in our prayer, we ask testify in front of Allah..
'to You only we bow, to You only we ask for help...O Allah, do guide us on the straight path..'
and if we are putting 110% in performing our solat, indeed, only one will realise that there are still responsibilities hanging from the sky that has not been plucked and perform it.. and at the same time, out attitude will all be insyaAllah the best as islam is.. since we will be shielded from doing mungkar, both physically and internally..
in the prayer it self:
The bow or rukuk shows our 'slavery' towards Allah only.. as when we bow to Him, we not only bend our backbones 90 degrees, at the same time our tongue does not stop from praising Him..

The prostration itself, shows we are willing to put our face on the ground that our feet stand on, just to glorify Him.. and do know, He is the closest to His servants who are prostrating towards Him..

4) travel
when mention travel, the first thing that pops in mind is most probably holiday..
yet, the word travel here actually is from a different side view.. we travel back at where we are right now.. our body stays where they are.. its our mind that travel across the whole field out there. How do we travel by mind? ah.. here comes the beauty of it.. in other word to describe it is actually reflection of oneself.. we go back in time, what have we done since we open our eyes this morning, till our now... we dont need machine to go to the past.. our own memory of what we've done today is more than enough.. its one of the reason why we need to do it daily.. In this travel, one would know what has been done wrong, who has one mistreat, how can one improve it.. and who has one not forgive for their inappropriate action toward oneself..
Ask forgiveness from Allah for our misdeeds and ask Him that if our time has come.. Do and do erase all the bad deeds, actions that has been done, intentionally or unintentionally.. and if given the chance to rise up once again, one would try to improve oneself... "Today should be better than yesterday before"

5)glorify Allah..
This glorify usually people would imagine is done with words.. such as 'Alhamdulillah', 'Subahannallah'..etc
Yes, no doubt its one of the ways to glorify Allah, and it seem simple.. but do be aware.. it not the sayings of the glorification of words that is being counted, but the heart that corresponds to it.. if we just say.. 'All praise to Allah' because its a thing that most muslims around us do, what's the use of it.. it should actually come from deep down our heart, which we want to thank Allah, glorify Him, and the only way at rise our feelings to Him is by saying words of glorification to Him.. and as mentioned before, its not restricted to just saying it.. it can come in action where we try to improve the situation we are currently being put in that abide by His Law, help those who in need as He loves those who like to help others..etc

6) al-Qannaah.. accept what He determined for you with an open heart (redha)..
we certainly do not know what's the best for us.. only Allah knows.. and that is the reason why certain things happen to us, that we may not like it, but it happens..

7) continuous repent..
when mention repent..most probably one would imagine, have those those who repent did anything wrong? Allah love those who keep repent to Him though one may have not done anything wrong.. cause its a sign that one know his weaknessess and Allah knows his actions in and out.. So dont think that when we did any sins then only we repent.. and do know, us humans, an-nas , are never free from sins..

8) those who take care of His law..
we observe and abide by the limit He set.. and try to make His law being used fairly through the nations..

These are the one being describe in the Quran.. the words of Allah Himself..

[at-Taubah:112]

(Triumphant) are those who turn repentant (to Allah), those who serve (Him), those who praise (Him), those who fast, those who bow down, those who fall prostrate (in worship), those who enjoin the right and who forbid the wrong and those who keep the limits (ordained) of Allah - And give glad tidings to believers!
